Hi,

I am using LabView 7.0. I need to append table to word report and I am using Append Table to Report VI. My VI works fine as long as the table cells do not have multiple lines. For multiple lines, each line is put is a seperate cell in the word report.

Is there a way to append multi-line cells to Word Report??? If not, any suggestions on how I can copy the multi-line table to Word report???

Please kindly help!!

Please see the attached document for details on the problem.

Thanks,
Mim

Hi KC,
I appreciate your time and help.
Please find attached my VI and the report template that the VI uses to create the report.
I look forward to your feedback.
Thanks,
Mim

Hi KC,
Just another note.. I can add table with multiple rows but if a cell has multi-lines, then it puts the next line in a different cell. I probably didn't mention this in my earlier note.
Thanks for your help,

Hi Mim,
Yes I understood the multiple-lines part. I think the doc is the report you want. Correct ?
The doc is generated with your VI without any modifications.
I am using XP, Office 2002 SP3 and LV7.1

Hi KC,
Thanks for your super prompt reply.
The VI adds tables, test information etc to the verification report template... so it does modify it.
I have Microsoft Office 2000 SR1-Professional and LV 7.0. This combination seems to be a problem.
Oh well.. I need to figure out how I can resolvethis issue. LV help does not specify which MS Office it is compatible with.. so I may be LV7.1 is required...
Thanks for your help...

A small language problem here I think.   'without modification' I refered to the VI not the doc file

Did you try the 'word easy tabel' VI ?

Hi KC,
OOps.. my bad!
Yes, I tried Word Easy vi.. that does the same thing.
Since, my generate report VI works fine on your setup.. I need to have LV7.1 may be?? Multiple line row works for excel so I am modifying my Vi to create excel report instead... I will let you know if that works.
Thanks...

Hi KC,
Upgrading to LV7.1 resolved the problem. So, looks like LV 7.0 has a bug.
Thanks for your help in understanding the problem.

Hi Fay,

I think the used VI's are from the report toolkit.

Hi Fay,
KC is correct. You need the report generation toolkit for this VI.
Thanks,
Mim
