vbai server reboot required

I am using vbai 3.5.1 with NI 1742 Smart Cam and communicating via TCP with Omron PLC.
If power to the machine is cycled, I lose communication with the camera. It seems as though the
server is stopped but it says it's running. When I reboot from vb everything is ok.
1. Can I resolve this or
2. Is there a way to reboot via hard I/O?

Hi Bam This sounds like the TCP server has stopped running resulting in the server to lose communication. If you are using the smart cam as the master try changing it to the slave and see if that fixes the issue.Thank YouEric Reid

My PLC is set as the Master in my comm manager in vbai. It has also been suggested that I reinstall the camera image which I have also done.It's odd that only a reboot from vb will resolve this. Is there anything else that could be causing this?

Hi BAM787 Can you go into more detail as to your process? Are you also rebooting the PLC as well? Basically you cycle power on the smart camera and lose connection, do you than need to go and reset the device in VBAI in order to re-establish a connection? Thank YouEric Reid
