Get Build Verion Programatically?

Is there a way of accessing the exe build version programatically.  I want to include the version on a splash screen and in the main title bar.  Currently I use a constant throughout my vi to do this but I would like to synchronize it with build version.  I know this is only useful in the built application.  Can this be done?
